DISCLOSURES TO THE PUBLIC BY THE INSTITUTION
At its 17-19 August 2026 meeting, the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM or Commission) conducted a comprehensive review, under applicable ACAHM accreditation standards, for continuing accreditation of California University – Silicon Valley (CUSV or Institution) and its Master of Acupuncture with a Chinese herbal medicine specialization program. ACAHM imposed a Probation sanction on CUSV and its programs for a period of one (1) year.
Probation reflects the Commission’s findings that CUSV and its program fail to meet several of ACAHM’s Standards and Criteria for Accreditation, including but not limited to legal and regulatory requirements, recordkeeping, assessment and evaluation practices, and institutional financial stability. Probation is notice to CUSV that, if it does not substantially correct the deficiencies noted by the Commission by the end of the probationary period, accreditation status will be withdrawn. The accredited status of the institution and program continues during the Probation period. This decision is subject to reconsideration and appeal as outlined in ACAHM’s Commission Actions Policy.
